In this activity, you will collaborate to create a digital dictionary of keywords and phrases related to the Internet and social media. You will use the Wakelet platform to collect, organize, and share your findings.
Why are we doing this?
Understanding the right vocabulary helps you communicate clearly about the digital world. It also helps you think critically about how the Internet and social media affect your daily life and well-being.

You will analyze issues related to the digital world and the use of technology, both in your learning process and daily life, using English in real-life contexts.

What will you do?
Step 1 – Research (10’): Use the internet and the provided sources to find important words and phrases related to the Internet and social media. For example: privacy, cyberbullying, data protection, online safety, and digital footprint.
Step 2 – Define (10’): Write clear and simple definitions or explanations for each word or phrase. Try to use your own words!
Step 3 – Organize (15’): Add your terms and definitions to the shared Wakelet collection. Feel free to add images, videos, or links to help explain the terms better.
Step 4 – Discuss and Reflect (10’):
After you finish, explore the full dictionary created by your classmates. Think about how these terms connect to your own use of the Internet. Discuss:
- Which terms were new to you?
- Which words are most useful in your daily digital life?
