1) Listen to Petula Clark's song "Colour my world" and observe the things the singer mentions.
Decide what colour the singer expects as the colour of love.
2) Colour idioms.
In this unit we've learned a lot of idioms based on colour. You can find out even more in the following screenshot and also on this webpage:
3) You will listen to a recording about Holi, the Indian festival of colours. Answer the questions that follow.
On the opening page, first click on the file preview, it opens on a new page. Activate Adobe Flash if prompted. Read the Introduction to find out what the listening is about (the colorful festival of Holi) and some information about the speaker (Kashif, a boy from India). Do the matching exercise using drag and drop in the "Before you listen" section. Then do the following tasks 1,2 and 3 (True / False, matching and a multiple choice exercise on idioms).
There's a transcript of the listening text if needed and a Glossary to help you with the idioms.
