ENGLISH FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Book : THINK TEEN GRADE C ADVANCED 

Today we learnt the PASSIVE VOICE , its formation, use and meaning . We watched a video and did some exercises online .

We practiced the MODALS  in a revision exercise as preparation for the Test in English , which we are going to write on the 4th of March . You can study the relevant material in the grammar section at the end of your student' s book .

13-2-25 We practiced the Passive Voice with online exercises.We turned active sentences into passive .

Page 77 New vocabulary explained for dictation and reading comprehension exercise Task 2 .

Page 78 Task 1 : Vocabulary about Adjectives matched with colour .

Task 2 : Idioms to do with colours . 

Page 79 : Revision of Modal Verbs like : Must , May ,Might ,Should , Shouldn't, Could , Shall etc Exercise Task 4   .We revised Modal verbs with more exercises online .

Homework: Writing page 81 . Write a Report about your opinion concerning a boy who came to school with his arms heavily tatooed .You need to use at least 3 arguments . 

Page 83-84 Self assessment exercises .

Unit 8 . Vocabulary about food , food sources , socio- economic factors of eating habits .

We explained the unknown vocabulary about Olive oil on page 88 and students wrote the translation of the text .

The texts of this unit are examples of the use of the Passive Voice which we are going to practice again .
