These days there are many animals which are in danger of extinction all over the world. In Greece, such a problem exists with the sea turtle, the wolf and the seal Monachus Monachus. The seal Monachus Monachus lives only in very clean waters and is usually not seen by people because it lives an isolated life, usually in areas where there are caves. Right now there is a sea park in the island of Allonisos in the middle of Greece where one can see seals. The seal Monachus Monachus lives for about 45 years and weighs 300 kilos. It gives birth to one babay seal (pup) once a year.It eats fish and seafood. It needs our protection because only 250 seals live in Greece right now.
