Dear students welcome to the 5th Unit of our Coursebook with the title "Animal Rights". In this unit we will focus on the issues of

• animal cloning
• using animals in experiments
• animal abuse in food industry

Initially (during the first three sets of  synchronous an asynchronous meetings on Webex), we will get informed about the above issues and we will express our point of view in context, both orally by using argumentative language, and in written speech by creating a poster to inform. Following that, we will revise passive voice in the end of the chapter and write a pros and cons article (during the second part of this unit which consists of two sets of asynchronous and synchronous). By the end of this unit, we will be able to express our opinion on these matters using logical arguments, and to take action in our school environment and local community.
