Project Overview

In this project, you will work collaboratively to collect historic information in English for a Greek tourist destination of your choice. You will search for information, evaluate sources, create digital content, and present your work to the class.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this project, you will be able to:

• Search for and evaluate reliable information from online sources.
• Collaborate effectively in digital environments using English.
• Create digital content while respecting copyright and online safety rules.

Instructions

1. Form groups of 4 students.
2. Choose one Greek tourist destination (e.g. Thessaloniki, Crete, Rhodes, Corfu, Meteora, Santorini).
3. Decide on the roles of each group member:

• Researcher
• Content Writer
• internet safety researchers
• Presenter

Important Rules

✔ Use only reliable sources. 

✔ Check who published the information.

✔ Compare information from different websites.

✔ Do not share personal information online.

✔ Respect copyright and use images with permission or free-use licenses.

Instructions

1. Visit Europeana: https://www.europeana.eu/en  and other tourist sites with historic information
2. make sure the sites are reliable and most importantly up-to-date
3. Search for information, images and historical facts related to your destination.
4. always Check that the information is accurate and relevant.

Deliverable

Prepare a list of useful sources and selected materials for your project.

2. store the links of the sources you use in the padlet under your teams name
3. Upload:

• The links you collected.
• Images you plan to use.
• Notes and draft texts.

A complete digital folder with all the resources needed for your travel guide.

Your infographic should include:

• A title
• A short introduction
• 3–5 main attractions
